When is a good time to start a project?
We get lots of enquiries in spring as, after months of hibernation, people start to look outside again and want to make change.
But actually winter is a great time to start the design process. Allow about 6 months to go from inception to detailed design, you'll need this to think things through and allow time to get through the planning process. Then the build can start in summer, with completion the following winter.
It may seem counter intuitive to start when it's cold, but you'll be thinking about lovely spaces and light-it'll help you through the winter blues!
Start in late spring and you'll be hitting autumn before you start the build....frosts, delays, it'll take longer to build basically, so allow a bit longer.
For the more experienced clients, the process is foreshortened.
