Founder Lisa Raynes explains the reasons for the festival's creation, 'Architecture is an art form you engage with on a daily basis but we don't always give it the attention it deserves. There is also a perception that architecture is for 'them' as opposed to 'for everyone' and this festival hopes to democratize this art form and break down barriers between the professional and wider audience.
We achieved its aim of engaging a large number of people who aren’t architects or planners but just members of the public who are curious about Manchester.
We’re grateful to our sponsors, Mills and Reeves, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studio, BDP and Civic Engineers for making it possible. We are delighted to have supported our charity partner Mustard Tree and we’re already planning the programme for 2016 ‘
