Each window frames a view with sparse and very controlled palette.
The artwork almost an afterthought. The natural lighting I note had been supplemented- Wakefield does not boast St Ives luminescent light unfortunately. The pedestrian bridge gives A passing nod to the brutal vehicular budge crossing the weir.
It is a joy to have the gallery celebrating a female artist within spitting distance ( ok an hour and 11min drive) from home
The clientele were cultured gentlefolk of a certain age and young families with artfully dressed and haircutted children. Just glad ours weren't around causing chaos for the visit. And I had lovely welsh rarebit in the cafe
