The Liverpool event was an overwhelming success. With fellow architect Matthew Ashton from MGMA Studio, we saw 13 customers with a range of queries from: best way to plan a bath room, how to insulate a 1920s timber frame bungalow, planning guidance, and rebuilding after a fire.
The store were fantastic in promoting the event, with leaflets advertising the event at all till points and the home team were briefed on it and did their best to help drum up support. We even got to see behind the scenes at John Lewis and all the staff were outstanding. Tannoy announcements rang out every hour in an 'Are you being Served' kind of a way!
I felt privileged to be a part of the RIBA organisation and I wore my red Love Architecture with pride (allbeit accessorised with belt, scarf and jacket)
